Too cheap to be true

A new startup, an online shopping platform affiliated with a major Chinese retailer has become the most downloaded app in the United States, surpassing Amazon and Walmart.

Temu, an online retailer startup based in the city of Boston and owned by the same owners as Chinese retailer Pinduoduo, debuted at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The new online shopping startup , Temu  operates an online superstore for just about everything - from household goods, to clothing, to electronics with prices that are relatively very low for US consumers.

Even so, American consumers may not be ready to accept these prices. There is always the question, 'is this too cheap to be good?"
